I participated in an exhibition for visually impaired artists:

And I was selected!

This drawing of mine was selected and is on display in an exhibition in Brussels.

It’s an exhibition for visually impaired artists from nine countries.

(This year I was allowed to nominate one work, so no sumi-e…). But I did it with the Zen spirit, and it took me a year and a half.

For me, drawing means drawing with charcoal, erasing, and blending with a cotton swab, drawing again, erasing, and so on. Until it feels right. So I draw less based on my vision and more based on my feeling, a connecting with the work. And then suddenly it feels “finished.”
